Detail Itinerary

Day 1:Arrive at Noi Bai Airport and settle into the Old Quarter. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure after check-in.

Day 2:Discover Hanoi's highlights including Train Street, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, St. Joseph's Cathedral and Hoa Lo Prison, then join a guided street-food walk through Dong Xuan Market and the back lanes of the Old Quarter.

Day 3:Drive into the northern highlands and settle into Sapa.

Day 4:Take the cable car and mountain train to the summit of Fansipan, then trek through the rice terraces of Muong Hoa Valley to Lao Chai and Ta Van. Visit Cat Cat Village and its French-era waterfall before returning to Hanoi.

Day 5:Board a boutique cruise and sail among the limestone islands of Lan Ha Bay. Kayak at Tra Bau, join a spring-roll cooking demonstration and enjoy sunset from the top deck.

Day 6:Start with sunrise tai chi, then visit Trung Trang Cave on Cat Ba Island before returning to Hanoi.

Day 7:Fly south to central Vietnam and enjoy a half-day tour of Non Nuoc stone carving village, the Marble Mountains and Linh Ung Pagoda with its Lady Buddha statue.

Day 8:Spend a full day at Ba Na Hills with the cable car, Golden Bridge and French Village.

Day 9:Enjoy a free day at My Khe Beach or relax at your own pace.

Day 10:Explore Hoi An's UNESCO-listed Ancient Town, including the Japanese Covered Bridge, merchant houses, the market and a tailor for custom-made clothing. Take part in a silk lantern workshop.

Day 11:Spend the day in Cam Thanh coconut village with basket boats, crab fishing, rice-paper making and a hands-on cooking class.

Day 12:Travel to Hue to visit the Citadel, Khai Dinh Royal Tomb and Thien Mu Pagoda, then enjoy an evening boat cruise on the Perfume River with Hue royal folk music.

Day 13:Visit Tu Duc Tomb, Thuy Xuan incense village and Dong Ba Market before flying south to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 14:Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels and enjoy a city tour of the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Day 15:Travel to Cai Be to visit a Cao Dai temple, a coconut candy workshop and an ancient Southern house before checking in to a riverside eco-lodge.

Day 16:Enjoy ditch fishing, grilling your own catch, cycling, water hyacinth weaving, a sampan ride and Don Ca Tai Tu folk music before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 17:Private transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
